Exemplary Young Professional Award (EYP)

Young professionals who display outstanding and creative approaches to problem solving within the accounting and finance profession will be honored with the Exemplary Young Professional Award.

Characteristics for the Exemplary Young Professional Award

The person you nominate:

  • Must be under the age of 40 as of July 1, 2024.
  • IMA membership is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be employed in the accounting or finance field at the time of nomination.
  • Demonstrates impactful professional accomplishments, career growth, and passion for excellent service.
  • Committed to advancing the profession by volunteering for IMA (preferred) or other professional organization(s), writing articles, and/or speaking at industry events.
  • Serves as an emerging leader and role model for other young professionals.
  • Embraces IMA’s Mission and Global Core Values.
  • Exhibits service leadership by developing and inspiring others.
  • Promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by encouraging and respecting alternative points of view.
  • Preferred: IMA member holding the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) certification.
